Urgent Travel Update

Urgent Travel Update:

Please be aware of overflow at the mouth of the Noatak River. Overflow on top of unstable ice with fresh snow cover will make traveling very dangerous. Travel near the mouth of the Noatak River is not advised at this time.

If you plan to travel, please file a trip plan with a loved one or you can file with the on-call Search and Rescue Coordinator  during normal business hours by calling 907-412-2038. Trip plans should include your intended travel route, timeframe of travel, when you plan to return, items you have with you and type of snowmachine and or sled you are using.

If you need to report any lost or overdue travelers please call the on-call Search and Rescue Coordinator at 907-412-2038.
