The State of Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management is providing financial assistance to disaster survivors through grants to assist individuals and families in the declared disaster area that is not already covered by insurance. Individual assistance can cover:
- Primary residence that was destroyed or damaged
-Only means of transportation destroyed or damaged
-Essential personal property destroyed or damaged
-Medical/funeral/ dental expenses incurred as a direct result of the disaster
