The Village Improvement Fund – Directly Benefiting Northwest Arctic Communities


Teck has developed a series of videos to show how Red Dog Mine benefits the local communities. The Village Improvement Fund (VIF), which is overseen by community-elected commissioners from each of the 11 communities, receives $4-8 million annually from Red Dog Mine. That contribution goes directly to village initiatives and essential infrastructure development. This video shows how some communities have utilized the VIF for local projects.
