INTERN TUESDAY!
Joshua Atghaghvik Michael Cannon is Siberian Yupik, a tribal member of the Native Village of Savoonga, and part Spanish. He spent most of his childhood in Nome, Alaska actively participating in subsistence activities with his family and learning about the St. Lawrence Island culture. Joshua is very happy to come back to Kawerak for a second summer internship. This summer he will be working with the Natural Resources team as the remote Pilgrim Hot Springs Intern. Joshua is looking forward to assisting in the revitalization process of the Hot Springs site and learning more about the economic benefits of the site. Josh is currently living in Anchorage, Alaska while attending college at the University of Alaska Anchorage where he is studying Alaska Native Studies, Economics, and Business Marketing. Aside from work and school, he is an avid outdoorsman. He spends much of his free time hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, and enjoying quality time with his friends and loved ones.
