INTERN TUESDAY!
Jennie Reynolds grew up in Sivungaq, Alaska, which is located on St. Lawrence Island. She traveled to Sitka, Alaska, in 2014 to attend Mt. Edgcumbe High School where she graduated in 2019. Jennie is now a senior at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She is expected to graduate with the class of 2023 with her bachelor’s degree in justice. She will also be working on her minor in Early Childhood Education at the university. Jennie’s goals, in order, are building safe shelters in the villages of Alaska that have none (such as Savoonga), becoming a Special Victims Liaison/Detective, and later working as an early childhood teacher. With this internship, she aspires to obtain increased skills in communication and time management - keeping learned lessons and effectiveness in mind. Jennie enjoys learning new concepts and activities. She finds that her part time work nannying during the school year is quite beneficial for her and the children. It is exciting to travel so Jennie tries to do so whenever she gets the opportunity. Also, spending time with family and friends is always in her interest!
