James Cockrell | Commission of Public Safety

Last week the Northwest Arctic Borough held its Public Safety Summit in Kiana. State officials, tribal leaders and community members discussed Public Safety in the region and how together we can improve these services in our communities for the future.

“Communities can’t prosper if they don’t feel safe” said James Cockrell, Commission of Public Safety. “We’re going to focus on listening to the needs of our communities.”

Thank you again Commissioner Cockrell, Anne Sears, Joel Hard and Senator Olson for attending.

And special thanks to all those who helped make this event possible. Kiana Traditional Council, City of Kiana, Lee Sea Air, Bering Air, and NWAB Public Safety staff.
