The North Pacific Fishery Management Council (NPFMC), it's Advisory Panel (AP) and Scientific and Statistical Committee (SSC) are scheduled to meet in June. The dates are Monday, June 6, 2022 thru
through Monday, June 13, 2022. The agenda covers a variety of topics, including an ecosystem status report and reports from the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) General Counsel and United States Coast Guard.
The meeting is open to the public (eg remotely or in-person). When posted, the agenda and meeting connection information can be found at https://www.npfmc.org/ (see “Upcoming Meetings”). There is opportunity to provide oral testimony. However, you must sign up via the eAgenda.
The NPFMC is one of eight regional councils established by the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (1976). Its geographic area of authority includes the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the Arctic Ocean and Pacific Ocean seaward of Alaska, including the Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands and Gulf of Alaska.
