We have all been impacted financially by Covid. Schooling from home, increased utility bills, buying more cleaning supplies, loss of hours at work, etc. have caused financial hardships on our homeowners and mortgage holders.
BSRHA has opened Phase 1 of the Homeowner Assistance fund for homeowners and mortgage holders.
WHO: Anyone tribally enrolled in:

o Council
o Elim
o Gambell
o Golovin Koyuk
o Mary’s Igloo
o Savoonga
o Shaktoolik
o Shishmaref
o Solomon
o Teller
o Wales
o White Mountain
o BSNC shareholder
WHAT: assistance with mortgage, mortgage arrears, utility, utility arrears, property taxes, homeowners’ insurance.
HOW: Download the application off www.BSRHA.org
, or get from your Tribal Coordinator. Complete instructions are on the application form.
ANYTHING ELSE? If you live out of region, we’re probably going to need you to get us signed W-9’s (a tax form) from your utility company/mortgage holder so we can pay them.
