Of the 3,850 people living in Nome city in 2019, 50 percent (1,924) were women and 50 percent (1,926) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the North Alaska News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 1,306-to-1,156. In the 65 and over age range, there were 161 females and 109 males.
