Fairbanks North Star Borough issued the following announcement on Feb. 21.
This FRIDAY, February 28th, 2020 is the deadline to FILE FOR AN APPEAL of your property assessment!
This brochure provided by the Borough Assessor's office can be used as a resource to answer some of your basic questions.
As a reminder - the deadline to appeal is 30 days from the date of the Assessment Notice, in most cases this will be February 28, 2020.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS about your Assessment notice, your assessed value or if you would like instructions on how to file an appeal, DON'T DELAY!! Call the Assessing Department at 459-1428.
