Residents of the Northwest Arctic Borough, please see the attached slides from National Weather Service regarding the Chukchi Sea coast weather event. Strong winds and coastal flooding are expected Wednesday night thru Friday afternoon. Please take measures to secure your boats, and items in your yard, especially in the coastal village of Kivalina and within the City of Kotzebue.
To report any emergencies in the villages please call Alaska State Troopers at 907-451-5100. To report emergencies within the City of Kotzebue limits, please call Kotzebue Police Department at 911.
